Message your customers

Email one customer, or everyone booked on a departure, straight from Samba — and see what they receive.

You can write your own email to a customer from Samba: a meeting-point change, a weather update, a thank-you. It goes out under your brand, and replies come back to your support email.

Messages go to the customer who booked, not to each participant.

  5. Click Submit (3).

Your text is sent exactly as typed. Samba adds no greeting or sign-off and does not translate it, so write in the language your customers read.

Messages cannot carry attachments. To share a document, upload it somewhere you control and paste the link in the body.

What happens next

  • Samba confirms the message is queued. It is sent in the background a moment later.

  • The email arrives from "Your business name via Samba", with your logo and accent color. Replies go to your workspace's support email.

  • Each message is recorded on the customer's Emails tab, where you can open an exact copy. Messages sent from a booking or a departure also show on that booking or departure. See Did my customer get the email?

Do customers on a departure see each other's addresses?

No. Each customer gets a separate email. A customer with two bookings on the departure receives the message twice, once per booking.

Why is there no Message customer action on this booking?

The action is hidden on canceled and refunded bookings, and for customers without a real email address: anonymized customers, and GetYourGuide travelers whose email was not passed on. To reach a customer whose booking is canceled, message them from their customer page instead.

How long can a message be?

The subject can be up to 255 characters and the body up to 5,000.
