Update your profile, email or password

Change your name, profile picture, sign-in email or password in User settings, and what to expect when you change your email.

Your Samba account belongs to you, not to a workspace. One email and password opens every workspace you are a member of, and the changes below apply everywhere. Every team member can do this, whatever their role.

Change your name or picture

  1. Select your picture in the top right corner, then User settings.

  2. In Profile, edit your First name and Last name, or upload a picture (PNG or JPG, up to 2 MB).

  3. Select Save changes.

Change your password

  1. In User settings, go to the Password section and type a New password.

  2. Enter your current password when the form asks for it.

  3. Select Save changes.

If you have forgotten your current password, sign out and use the reset link on the sign-in page instead. See I can't sign in.

Change your sign-in email

  1. In Profile, replace the Email address and enter your current password when asked.

  2. Select Save changes.

  3. Open the confirmation email Samba sends to the new address and select the link. The link is valid for 60 minutes.

Your account keeps the old email until you select that link. Samba also sends a notice to your old address with a link that blocks the change. If someone uses it first, the confirmation link stops working.

If you sign in with Continue with Google, the Google account's email must match your Samba email. After changing your Samba email, sign in with your password, or with a Google account on the new address.
