Selling on GetYourGuide

Connect your workspace to GetYourGuide (GYG) to sell your trips there too. GetYourGuide shows travelers your live availability and pricing, and any booking they make comes straight into Samba, already confirmed.

Connecting your workspace

  1. Go to Settings → Channels and click Connect GetYourGuide. Samba generates a supplier code for you.

  2. Paste that code into your GYG Supplier Portal, selecting Samba as your reservation system.

  3. Once that's done on GetYourGuide's side, the connection starts working automatically — there's no separate "activate" step in Samba.

Listing a trip

Open the trip and use List on GetYourGuide in the page header:

  • Day tours — match each of your passenger types (Adult, Child, etc.) to one of GetYourGuide's ticket categories.

  • Multi-day tours — pick one package to list; you can list more than one package by creating a separate listing for each.

  • Add the destination city and country GetYourGuide should show travelers, and choose whether to let GetYourGuide keep your prices in sync automatically.

Creating the listing sets up Samba's side. You'll still need to finish setting up the matching option in your GYG Supplier Portal — configure it as a "starting time" product, since flexible/opening-hours options aren't supported yet.

How availability and bookings work

Once your listing is live, Samba automatically keeps GetYourGuide up to date on your availability, capacity, and prices as things change. When a traveler books through GetYourGuide, the booking appears in Samba already confirmed — it skips your usual checkout and booking wizard entirely.

GetYourGuide is the merchant of record for these bookings: it collects the traveler's payment and handles their refunds. Samba's job is to keep availability in sync and manage the resulting booking.

Cancelling a GetYourGuide booking

If a traveler or you cancels through GetYourGuide, GetYourGuide notifies Samba automatically, and Samba cancels the booking and frees up the seats.

If you need to cancel from Samba's side instead, you can — but it won't reach GetYourGuide. To make sure the traveler is refunded, also cancel the booking in your GYG Supplier Portal.

Managing your connection and listings

From Settings → Channels you can pause, resume, or disconnect your GetYourGuide connection, and pause, resume, or delete individual listings. Pausing tells GetYourGuide you have zero availability, so no new bookings come in until you resume.

If GetYourGuide deactivates one of your listings (for example, after repeated availability sync failures), you'll see it flagged here along with a Reactivate action, and you'll get an email.

Commission

GetYourGuide bookings are commissioned separately from your direct bookings, at a lower rate — see Plans, billing, and what's included.
