GetYourGuide connection and listing statuses

What each GetYourGuide status means in Samba, and what Pause, Resume, Delete and Reactivate do.

You manage your GetYourGuide (GYG) connection and its listings in Settings → Channels. Owners, Admins and Managers can make changes; other team members can only look.

Connection statuses

Status

Meaning

Pending

Created in Samba. GetYourGuide has not contacted Samba yet, so nothing sells.

Active

GetYourGuide has reached Samba. Active listings sell.

Paused

You paused it. GetYourGuide sees no availability.

Disconnected

You disconnected it. GetYourGuide sees no availability. Resume brings it back.

Listing statuses

Status

Meaning

Active

Sells, as long as the connection is Active.

Paused

Paused by you, or automatically when you archived its experience. No availability.

Deactivated by GetYourGuide

GetYourGuide switched the product off. No availability until you reactivate it.

"waiting for GYG mapping"

You have not mapped the option in the GYG Supplier Portal yet. Expected for a new listing.

What each action does

Action

Effect

Pause or Disconnect the connection

Every listing shows no availability on GetYourGuide within about a minute. Your listings are kept.

Pause a listing

The same, for one listing.

Resume a listing

Sells again. Refused if its experience is archived, or if its package, passenger type or party price no longer exists. In that case delete the listing and list the trip again.

Delete a listing

Only for a paused listing with no GetYourGuide reservations or bookings. Unmap it in the Supplier Portal too.

Reactivate

For a listing GetYourGuide deactivated. Asks GetYourGuide to switch it back on and sends fresh availability.

When GetYourGuide deactivates a listing, Samba emails the team members subscribed to that notification, with GetYourGuide's reason. A strip at the top of Settings → Channels flags deactivated listings and listings whose availability updates are failing.

Limits to know

  • One GetYourGuide connection per workspace.

  • One active listing per day tour, per package, or per group product.

  • You cannot delete an experience, package, passenger type or party price while an active listing uses it. Pause the listing first.

  • You cannot archive an experience while a GetYourGuide reservation holds seats on an upcoming departure. Archiving pauses its listings. Restoring it leaves them paused until you resume each one.

  • You can create a listing while the connection is paused or disconnected. It sells once you resume the connection.

  • A group listing sells whole groups. A departure with fewer seats left than one full group shows as sold out on GetYourGuide.
