A widget lets visitors browse dates and start a booking without leaving your site. You build it in Samba, then paste two snippets into your website. Visitors need no account.
On WordPress? Use the WordPress plugin instead. No website to paste into? Share a booking link.
Before you start
Only published experiences can be picked and shown.
You need to be able to edit your site's HTML, or ask whoever manages it.
Build and paste the widget
Go to Settings → Website widgets, open the Embeds tab, and pick a widget. Not sure which? See Which booking widget should I use?
Fill in Settings. Upcoming Departures and Calendar need an Experience. The other fields are optional and start with sensible defaults.
Check the Preview. It updates as you change settings. Switch to Mobile to see it on a phone.
Open Code snippet. Click Copy script tag and paste it into your site's
<head>. You need it once per page, however many widgets the page has.Click Copy widget HTML and paste it where the widget should appear. Repeat this step for each widget.
Changed a setting later? Copy the widget HTML again and replace the old one on your site. The script tag stays the same.
What happens next
The widget shows live availability every time the page loads. Sold-out, canceled and past-cutoff departures disappear on their own.
Clicking through opens your Samba checkout in a pop-up or a new tab, depending on Open in.
To take real payments, connect your Stripe account.
Card payments work on any site. For Apple Pay and Google Pay inside a checkout embedded on your site, add your site under Settings → Connect Stripe → Checkout domains. See Apple Pay and Google Pay.
