Set your prices with packages

Price a multi-day tour with packages such as Standard and Premium, and choose its payment plan and cancellation policy.

A package is a priced option on a multi-day tour, such as "Shared room" and "Private room". Each traveler on a booking picks one, so the price is per person, per package. A multi-day tour needs at least one package before you can publish it.

Day tours have no packages. See Price a day tour.

Add a package

  1. Go to Settings → Experiences, open the experience, and click Edit.

  2. Open the Pricing & Participants tab.

  3. In Packages, click New Package.

The Packages section with one package open and the New Package button outlined
  4. Enter a Name and a Price. The Description is optional.

  5. Choose where the package can be booked: Available for fixed departures, Available for on-request departures, or both. At least one must be on.

  6. Optional: under Images, add up to 5 photos. Travelers see a thumbnail next to the package at checkout and can open the photos full-size.

  7. Drag the packages into the order you want. Travelers see them in that order.

  8. Click Save changes.

A package takes your workspace currency when you create it, and keeps it. Changing your workspace currency later does not change existing packages.

Choose the payment plan and cancellation policy

Both are on the same tab and apply to the whole experience.

The policy in force is copied onto each booking when it is made. Changing it later never affects existing bookings.

What happens next

  • Your trip page, trips list and widgets show a "from" price: your cheapest paid package, for example "From €450". Packages priced at 0 are ignored.

  • Sell extras such as equipment hire or a transfer with add-ons.

  • Need a different price on one date? Keep your regular prices here and price that departure on its own.

Can I delete a package that has bookings?

Yes. Existing bookings keep the package name and price they were sold with. Deleting a package also removes any prices you set for it on specific departures.

What happens to an add-on that was limited to a package I deleted?

If the add-on was limited to that package only, it becomes available with all your packages, so travelers can still buy it. Samba does not warn you, so check your add-ons after deleting a package.

Why can't I delete a package?

An active GetYourGuide listing uses it. Samba shows "Pause the GetYourGuide listing first" and saves nothing. Pause the listing, then delete the package. See Selling on GetYourGuide.

My packages are in different currencies. Which "from" price is shown?

Samba uses the currency most of your packages are in. If two currencies tie, it uses your workspace currency. The "from" price is the cheapest paid package in that currency.
