Every experience has a type: Multi-day tour or Day tour / activity. You choose it when you create the experience. The type decides how you price the trip, how travelers pay, and what your trip page shows.
The type cannot be changed after the experience is created. If you picked the wrong one, create a new experience with the right type.
What changes with the type
Multi-day tour | Day tour / activity | |
Priced with | Packages, such as "Shared room" and "Private room". Each traveler picks one. | Participant types, such as Adult and Child, or one total by party size. |
Pickup points | No | Yes, optional |
Payment plans | Yes: deposit and installments | No: travelers always pay in full at checkout |

Which one to choose
Choose Multi-day tour when:
travelers choose between options such as room types or comfort levels
you want to take a deposit now and the balance later
you need every traveler's name
Choose Day tour / activity when:
the price depends on who comes (adult, child, senior), or on the size of the group
you pick travelers up at several places
the trip runs often, and travelers choose a date from a calendar
An example

Alpine Adventures sells a ski week in Chamonix. It is a Multi-day tour with two packages: "Shared room (twin)" and "Private room (single)". Each traveler picks a package. The group pays a 50% deposit when they book and the rest 30 days before departure.
