Why can't travelers book a departure?

A date is on your calendar but travelers can't book it. The four usual causes and how to fix each one.

A departure can be booked only while it is Scheduled, has seats left, and is outside your booking cutoff. Open the departure from Calendar & Scheduling, check its status badge and seats, then find the cause below.

The booking cutoff has passed

Each experience stops taking bookings a set time before the start: by default 1 day for a multi-day trip and 2 hours for a day tour. Inside that window the date can't be booked, even with seats free.

Fix: shorten the cutoff. See Set your booking cutoff and default departure times. For a single late customer, create the booking yourself.

The departure is Sold out

Confirmed bookings have taken every seat, or someone set the status to Sold out by hand.

Fix: raise the capacity, or set the status back to Scheduled. See Change capacity or close a departure.

The last seats are being held in someone's checkout

When a traveler reaches the payment step, their seats are held for 15 minutes so nobody else can take them. GetYourGuide reservations hold seats for 60 minutes. During that time other travelers see fewer seats, or none.

Fix: wait. If the traveler does not pay, the seats come back on their own.

The departure is Canceled, Running or Completed

A canceled departure is closed for good, and one that has started can no longer be booked.

Fix: add a new departure for the date you want to sell.

If none of these applies, check that the experience itself is published: Why can't I publish my experience?
